Nixon's 16x20 BACKYARD BEAUTY, is an acrylic painting on stretched canvas with very little texture. It began as a two plein air painting. However, once it was brought into the studio, numerous glazes were applied. Backyard Beauty depicts how beauty can be found everywhere, even in your backyard. The colors of fall contrast with the bluish violet sky and complements the dazzling beams of light. Peace and tranquility are represented by the majestic, radiant beams of light.
