Title
Nixon's Onion Trilogy
Artist
Lee Nixon
Medium
Painting - Ac Crylics On Canvas
Description
Nixon's Onion Trilogy is an original acrylic 12x16 still life on gallery wrapped canvas. It represents a successful harvest of onions by the artist, as they are a regular part of his menu.
A triangular composition was chosen to complement the subject matter. Numerous painting techniques were utilized including; under- painting, over-painting, rich impasto techniques, and numerous colored glazes.
The bold, vibrant colors and rich textures incite the viewer to experience the thrill of a Local Virginia Harvest and reflect on the benefits of having a 'green thumb'. Enjoy!!!12
